ROOM TO GROW The original bedroom (above) was expanded to create a rustic suite that accommodates a larger bed and a chifferobe from the 1700s. plaster headboard wall and seams in the side wall logs reveal that this bedroom was once made bigger. With storage space at a premium, Grace chose furniture that fits the theme but also meets their storage needs. A tall chifferobe that dates back to the 1700s adds space for folded clothes, and an old shipping box and retro leather travel bags serve as additional storage cases. 32 WAYNE MAGAZINE BACK TO SCHOOL 2015 The Scuttaros use the second bedroom as their home office. A rag-style rug made with tied leather strips invites you into this room with cedar closets and a box table with lift up top for storage. A drop leaf desk stands in the warm light of a red glass starlight table lamb, and an iron and red glass floor lamp with drop-beaded silken lampshade. ■
