How to Submit Materials to WayBound
e’ve set up a Google Drive repository for our members to send us
materials (stories, articles, pix,
etc.) for use in the newsletter. Below is a
rundown on what you’ll need to do in order
to send stuff.
First, get and set up Google
Drive (It’s free) from this
link:
to the best of us, trust me), you can request
a private meeting with Sossity, who will try
to help you get things set up and working
smoothly.
Rest assured, there is nothing in the Google
Drive set up or any part of the WayBound
http://www.google.com/
drive/about.html?usp=ad_
search&gclid=CPeHs6ec7boCFfA7MgodFgoAWw
Now that you have that
set up, and in order for me
to save time and effort (I
need un-tired fingers to
raid, y’know?), I STRONGLY
suggest following along
with Googles’ handy instructions for setting up
file sharing (Guys, yes,
you hate to ask for directions, but, just this
once, ok?), which you will find here:
https://support.google.com/drive/topic/2525251?hl=en&ref_topic=2375188
If you should run into problems (it happens
submission process that will expose your
computer to the world. You yourself set up
which folders and files can be shared, and
it can be done safely by ensuring that when
you select HOW/WHO to share with, you
choose the “Anyone with the link “ option,
and limit who you send the link to to the
WayBound staff only. We will never divulge
information or files you don’t wish to have
used. Promise. Simply point your share at
[email protected]
There may be alternative methods that can
be used in situations
that warrant it, but
this is the preferred
method of materials
submission, and we
plan to be a tad sticky
about it. Trying to keep
track of how it’s done
with 1-100 different
members is simply NOT
gonna happen. We all
have a life outside the
magic boundaries of
Middle Earth, and we
like the time we spend
there, too :)
Please keep in mind,
high quality, high resolution images, videos,
and other visual materials are required to
produce a professional quality publication.
Do your best to ensure you’re using the
highest setting for graphics you can while
still getting the results you want.
