At the November 28th BOC Meeting, the Town announced a new contract with
RCS Inc, that will include new, larger recycling bins.
The Board of Commissioners authorized
the Town Manager to negotiate a contract
with RCS Inc for waste removal services in
the Town. The Town Manager and RCS Inc
have reduced terms to writing for the Board’s
consideration of a Waste Removal Services
Agreement that is proposed to commence on
February 1, 2018 and end on June 30, 2023.
The financial impact, respectively would
be $16.28/month, per household for weekly
trash pick-up and bi-weekly recycling pick-
up (of a new 96-gal roll-out container) plus
$1.20/month, per household for weekly yard
waste pick-up.
The 5,000+ recycling containers are sched-
uled to arrive in February and will be deliv-
ered directly to resident’s homes.
