Waves: A Clothes Dryer 1 | Page 4

Ultrasonic waves

This dryer uses an ultrasound waves. Ultrasound waves are longitudinal waves (like all sound waves) that have a frequency higher than 20 000 HZ, determining that humans cannot hear the sound. Ultrasonic waves also can be transmitted over a long distance without losing energy, therefore in the dryer, the small water particles will be blasted out of the clothes because the force of the energy is very high.
