TAJ MAHAL- " The Epitome of Love "
After a long break, Recently, I visited the TAJ MAHAL the most awaited trip, because it was " TAJ MAHAL " and also we were there to celebrate our first wedding anniversary( Blush Blush) @ the symbol of LOVE: D. So this time I ' m not going to share much about the information or facilities in Agra, as there are hundreds of websites doing that. After an overnight train from Ahmedabad we arrived Agra fort The railway station, at 830 in the morning. A crowded railway station, with all sort of people, Perhaps some were there for business, some for weddings & the rest were tourist like me. After a lot of research about Agra city, lot of blogs said you have to be careful with your belongings, people may cheat you there and all other stuff, thankfully we didn ' t face any of such things.
We hired a rickshaw, after 15 minutes of debate the driver finally agreed to take us to the hotel which we had Pre-
booked. The Agra fort railway station is very close to the Agra Fort, which is a UNESCO heritage site. Just outside the railway station there are lots of food stalls which serve different types of Parathas( Indian stuffed Rotis / Breads), which looked really tempting, as we was not sure of the hygiene we did not try any.
The rickshaw drove us to our hotel, which looked good. Without wasting any time we had some Kachori( Indian dish) which tasted different from the one ' s I had tried before. Done with our breakfast we again took rickshaw to spend rest of the day at Taj Mahal. We could get a glimpse of the TAJ when we drove closer to it. Living in India, we have visited many places but have never visited Taj Mahal & so this tour was very much awaited. The rickshaw dropped us at the entrance of the premises, from where the TAJ was another 2 KMS from where, buggy ' s were available at only INR 10 Per Person which took us till the ticket counter.
We bought tickets and also hired a certified Guide. There were lots of pre heard stories about Taj Mahal, but differed from the one which " MR " guide shared. Sometimes I feel that, whenever you visit a historical monument or any such place which has significant history you always get to hear many stories related to it, but you never understand which is the true one, it ' s like reading a story book which has so many elements in it.
