Free 1 Year Anniversary Special Edition Frankenbuggy Misty Crice Alex started his first 4wd buggy build in 2008. The original plan for “Frankenbuggy” was Leaf springs front and rear, half ton axles, running 35’s. However that vision changed quickly. Frank hincorporated a 7 and a half foot snorkel, for the days he wants to get a little deeper into the mud & water action. The buggy sorts a wheelbase of 116” and going 8’4’’ in width. Then a 500hp, 408 ci Chevy small block with an atomic EFI system powers this over 3 ton buggy. Axles are 2 1/2 ton Rockwell’s with welded gears front and rear, hemmit wheels, internal double beadlocks and the rubber was upgraded to custom, cut 54” Mickey Thompson TTC Baja Claws. The power runs thru a sm465 4 speed tranny mated to a Chevy np205 twin stick. One link “graderball” suspension front and rear with homebuilt 25 1/2” travel shocks dapening the front and Tuff country 8,000’s out back. A Warn mil9000 electric winch sits up front and a 15,000lb PTO winch handles the action out back. Topped off with a 10” Extreme LEDs, for running at night. Alex’s whole family loves off roading and racing, at an early age than most, he was introduced to this lifestyle. Two weeks after Alex’s birth, a close friend of his Father’s, Harold Emery, gave Alex his first buggy ride in his VW powered rail buggy. Equipped with just a tee pipe exhaust, this buggy ride showed that Alex was a natural, he was soundly asleep well before the ride was finished. 20 April 2014
