Several Thousand Offroad Racing fans converged on the Prairie City, CA. on April 9th, 2013 for the inaugural ULTRA 4 MetalCloak, Nor Cal Stampede Race. Held at the Prairie City State Park near Sacramento, CA. Two days of multiple heats had led up the exciting last Race. The format for the Northern California race is a two mile lap track with tight turns, rock obstacles and highspeed straight sections. The race is timed and the driver with the most laps in a given time-frame will be declared the winner.
48 – ULTRA-4 Cars competed on the Course that was littered with bone jarring and part destroying obstacles the entire length. The Course was so nasty that only 29 Rigs were able to compete to get into the final two races.
The first race of the 2013 ULTRA4 Trail Gear Western Regional Series, saw the drivers pushing their Rigs and themselves to the limits as a spot on the Podium was not the only Prize to be had, it was also a Qualifying Race for entry to the 2014 Griffin King of The Hammers Presented by Nitto Tire. Ultimately, two former Kings and the son of a King claimed the podium.
