The Spectators for this year numbered over 25,000 , many cheering on 94-year-old Paul Dohrman , the oldest racer to ever drive in The Mint 400 , previously held by Actor Paul Newman at age72 .
Bryce Menzies has won the 2013 Mint 400 . Not faring well at the start with BJ Baldwin beating him at the starting line . Before the first lap was completed Bryce had taken over first place . Midway through the race , passing on a pit stop , Jesse Jones gained the lead over Bryce . The third lap , had Menzies on Jones ’ s tail and he was able to regain the lead , going on to Win the 2013 General Tire Mint 400 Presented by Polaris Champion .
