Liverpool Legends. The Fund-raiser was such a success that the entertainers are booked again for March 29, 2014.
After approaching the WCSPCA Director about helping
with a fund-raising event, Bo Wilson convinced her that a concert
event was the perfect fit for the WCSPCA’s first annual event. A
few short months later, on April 20, the Washington County SPCA
held a fund-raising concert at the Bartlesville Community Center.
The Liverpool Legends Beatles Tribute band was chosen for the
entertainment because of their incredible talent and broad appeal.
The concert was attended by people of all ages and walks of life.
Some came supporting the WCSPCA. Some came for the love of
music and the ever famous Beatles. Every member in the audience
had one thing in common - they had a great time.
The concert began as ‘the fab four’ transported the
audience back to the Ed Sullivan show in 1964. The band then
followed through the famed Shay Stadium concert, psychedelic
Sgt Pepper favorites, the Abbey Road era and a few of the solos.
Everyone was so beautifully engaged that the concert hall was
filled with the grateful audience’s applause, singing and dancing.
Before the beginning of the concert a short video was
shown educating the audience about the many aspects of the
WCSPCA. The script and concept was put together by Dawnette
Brady. She reached out to her network of friends to help with the
production and narration. Brian Norwood with Hollyweb Video in
Tulsa masterminded the production and filming. Richard Parsons
(some of you will remember him as the Director who helped with
the initial transition of the WCSPCA in 2009) called upon two of his
friends to do the narration. Both Tess Masters and Scott Brick are
