AWB Asking for Input on Next Trade Mission Location
International trade is a pillar of Washington ’ s economy . AWB continues to expand its global outreach with trade missions for our members and top state officials to meet with business and political leaders in other nations .
In recent years AWB has led trade missions to Japan and Great Britain . This October AWB ’ s trade mission will be to Mexico , with visits to Mexico City , Jalisco and Guadalajara . Next year we ’ ll head to Canada .

Media and Technology Coordinator Joins AWB Staff
Ahnya Waldeck started work in March as AWB ’ s media and technology coordinator . She will assist in all AWB video and audio production , including coordination of Zoom meetings and webinars . She will also provide IT support and technology maintenance .

Spring Training Event in Peoria Explores Business of Baseball
Waldeck is a graduate of The Evergreen State College , where she studied film and media production and excelled in their digital production department .
She grew up in Thailand , where she worked in the U . S . embassy as a visa intern . She is fluent in Mandarin and Taiwanese .

In celebration of this year ’ s upcoming All-Star baseball game in Seattle , AWB held its first-ever trip to Spring Training in March . The activity was held with the Mariners at their Spring Training camp in Peoria , Ariz .
The agenda included learning more about Major League Baseball ’ s All-Star Week , which the Mariners are hosting this summer for only the third time in history , including the opportunities it will provide for Washington businesses .
The event also focused more broadly about the economic impact of sports in general .
