from the chair AWB Sets Its Course Doug Bayne Thank you again for the support that each member has given to the Executive Officers of AWB. I am humbled to be the Chair for this exciting year — and pretty nervous at the same time. Thank you to Tom Hosea for his strong leadership this past year and thanks to Mel Russell and Lisa Janicki for their willingness to step up to the plate! We all thank Lynn Townsend-White for her dedication to AWB and know that she will continue to be deeply involved with the association. providing reasonable solutions to the challenges facing our state. And the one thing that seems to help underscore the issues for lawmakers: Talking directly with employers. We encourage you to “tell the story” when called upon. Simply put, Olympia listens to you! During the upcoming legislative session, AWB will work on building relationships with all lawmakers and statewide officials and we need your input — in person, in writing or on the phone — to help explain how their decisions affect private sector job creat
