Asked if he wants his three sons; Christian age 14, Carlos, Jr. 10 and four year old Erik, to follow him into the restaurant business, Contreras answered, Sabroso owners Carlos Contreras (l) and Andres Godines (r). “Well, I really want them to get a good education, but we know they will decide on their own what they want to do. If it is this (the restaurant business) I would want them to learn the whole thing from washing dishes to the top.” It took an entire year of hard work inside to prepare the space for opening. Carlos shared he has worked full-time for 23 years with his father, Porfirio, at Optimum Windows in Ellenville.
