Benson was honored Sunday March 6 at a reception at Wards Bridge Inn. A native of Brooklyn and a fouryear Navy veteran, Benson came to Montgomery in 1979. Since that time he has owned Eddie’s Deli, now Benson’s Deli on Clinton Street. A lot has changed through the years for Benson, including the head count at holiday gatherings. As of this writing Benson is the father of five kids and a whopping 14 grandkids. He also noted that there are many more city transplants living in Montgomery these
