Friends pitch in to help Walden family

Todd and Alison Marie Henry , are the parents of an incredible 5-month old named Luke . Sadly , Luke was diagnosed with Pontocerebellar Hypoplasia , a genetically inherited neurological disorder that impacts the development and in many cases deteriorates sections of the brain . This disorder is almost always fatal prior to adulthood .
Despite the prognosis , the young couple of Walden and their courageous son are dealing with everything head on . Determined to maximize every minute they have with their child the couple recently spent $ 4,000 on blood tests . Enter Chi-Town Large Cars ( CTLC )
The international organization , founded 11-years ago in Chicago Illinois was able through 3-simultinous fundraisers Saturday , featuring , games , food and comradery , to raise $ 6611.20 for the young family in need . Montgomery did the lion ’ s share of the lifting , hauling in $ 5688.20 , with locations in Indiana and Arkansas contributing $ 383 and $ 540 respectively .

Then project engineers worked with the zoning board to get approval for an entrance that fell short of the 300-feet visibility requirement on one side . The owners ultimately acquired extra property to achieve the required distance on Albany Post Rd .
“ A couple of people came to the zoning board meetings worried that the site was too confined ,” Hadden said . But the acquisition of extra property seemed to help .
However , project engineers still have questions to answer from Orange County Department of Public Works about access and entry size and signage , she said . Meanwhile , the planning board is reviewing storm water management ,

With food and raffle prizes that were largely the result of local donations , the event was able to send more money along to the family since most of its expenses were handled by generous donations from more than 60-doners .
“ It was pretty amazing to be a part of something so huge for such a sweet family ,” Faith Moore , national secretary of CTLC said .
