The duo of Stephanie Richardson and Hollis Kelly have been a team in and out of the horse business for many years . Stephanie usually is the one in the forefront doing the showing while Hollis is the knowledable ground man , breeding consultant and general all round support system . A couple of years ago Stephanie decided to enter her home grown blue ribbon winning mare , Shaking Up The Night Life in the WHOA Register or Merit program . It was a good decision as the duo have earned several Certificate Of Achievements in model and under saddle classes .
In order to grow our youth division Stephanie and Hollis have become youth ambassadors for the walking horse breed , sharing this wonderful mare with different youth riders . Mason West , Maddyx West , Analia Winters and Bella Rosick are all recipients of Stephanie ‘ s generosity and knowledge . They have shown Shaking Up the Night Life in Model and rail classes with tremendous success . Last year Maddyx and Analia took turns
A Once in a Lifetime Mare
showing Chessie . Maddyx worked hard to perfect the skills needed for Model . Analia is a natural with horses and she and Chessie are a great team .
Chessie as she is known around the barn is a bit of a special mare . She was raised by Hollis and Stephanie who own both her sire and dam . Chessie has a grass allergy which makes keeping her in show ring condition as bit of a challenge . A special diet and allergy shots pave the way for her excellent condition .
A sweet mare with personality Chessie takes her role as teacher seriously taking care of her riders whether in the saddle or in the model classes .
When not working or showing , Stephanie and Chessie hit the trails to work on obstacles and expanding their versatility . A once in a lifetime mare we give a shout out to Shaking Up The Night Life for giving so many youngsters the thrill of showing and winning !
