Sri Lanka is benefiting from the true values of Ayurvedic and indigenous medicine by introducing it to the hospitality industry. Ayurveda entirely uses medicines occurring naturally. These especially include barks, herbs, roots, wood, gems, minerals, fresh leaves and extracts. Sri Lankan Ayurvedic tradition also follows its own indigenous De sheeya Chikitsa. Many Sri Lankan kings were also known as reputed physicians. The Ayurveda practitioners and healers in Sri Lanka occupied respectable positions in the Sri Lankan society. In Ayurveda treatments, the nutrition and the attitude of the patient are the 02 most important factors with the healing. Nature delivers everything appropriate for the human body, the natural medicines and the food for nutrition. Only the attitude supplies patient itself, whereby he receives support from the Ayurvedic physician.
