You may choose to purchase optional coverage from the rental agency to provide protection
should you be involved in an accident while driving a rental vehicle. Renters should check with
their own insurance provider to determine if the insurance coverage on their personal
automobile extends to a rental car before making any decisions about any optional products to
purchase.
Examples of optional insurance products include:
-Collision Damage Waiver — covers the cost of damages to the rental car if the vehicle is
involved in an accident.
-Personal Accident Insurance — covers medical and ambulance bills for the rental car
driver and passengers.
-Supplemental Liability Protection — covers the cost of damages to a third party.
-Personal Effects Protection — Covers personal items in the rental car.
