I love sunsets . When I saw this photo on FB ( quite a while ago ) I could visualize it on the cover of the APBT Gazette . It displays the summer glow , a steadfast APBT , and the reminder that every day is a blessing .
I swear , we blink and it ’ s time for another magazine to come out . The seconds of every day seem to tick away faster and faster . May this be your reminder to go out and make memories with those you love . Travel to a dog show and fully embrace the experience and the friendships that you make along the way . One day , those memories are all you will have left so make them incredible !
Speaking of that , I had the pleasure of speaking to Ed Hinkle one last time before he passed away . If you didn ’ t know Ed , he was somewhat of a patriarch to the APBT fraternity , if you will . They say everything is big in Texas ; Ed proved that !
I had the pleasure of meeting Ed at my very first ADBA Nationals in Texas . Ironically , the last time I saw Ed was at the ADBA Nationals in Texas . I won ’ t even tell you how many years ago that was . Every year after that , Ed would bring me a small token / gift from Texas . He set a very high standard for everyone and led by example . I ’ m so thankful he is finally at home with the love of his life , Jeanne .
