Did You Know?
Views From The Pews
Several of you have kind words about my
homily. Here’s one of them.
Alice writes, “I loved your homily. I drink
lots of coffee and it made perfect sense to
me that God is the coffee and we are the cup and the cup
adds nothing to the coffee but the coffee is great no matter
what kind of cup it is in. I like the way you explain
things. Thank you.”
“You’re welcome. I appreciate the compliment.”
Ruth writes, “I loved the handsome young priest who did
the seven o’clock Mass. He told us who he is but I forgot.
Please let me know.”
“He is Father Kurt Young. Fr. Kurt took over
from Father Steve Bruno as Vocations Director for the
Archdiocese. He was ordained three years ago.”
Anonymous writes, “You told us the surplus we have in
our collections would be used to pay for repairs at our
school but either you changed your mind or something
because we still have the surplus. I am not complaining
but I am curious.”
“The bills have not come in yet. I’ll let you
know the total bill as soon as I know it. I expect the total
to wipe out our surplus and perhaps more.
I thank all of you for your generosity. As
unexpected repairs mounted, I didn’t have to worry
much.”
Bea writes, “I was thrilled to see all the diapers in the play
pen in the church. It is a wonderful cause and I am happy
to see so many.”
“The drive doesn’t end until this Sunday, March
15th. I hope the play pen is filled again. The drive is
being conducted by our Knights of Columbus and by our
Respect Life Ministry.”

A national poll says a majority of Americans now
favors same sex marriage. Fifty-two percent favor same
sex marriage, and that number is up 20 percentage points
over the last five years.

On March 19th, Judy Klein, the author of The
Miracle Man, will be coming to talk about her
experiences with suffering and her journey with her
husband. All members of the parish are invited to attend,
even if you have not read the book with us. Judy is a
phenomenal author and great speaker. This will prove to
be a blessed time for all! The session will be for 7 pm in
the Church Meeting Room!
Easter Flower Memorials
Envelopes have been placed in the
pews for those wishing to make a donation
toward the expense for the flowers to be
used at the altar for Easter and the palms
for Palm Sunday. Anyone wishing to make
a donation of at least $10.00 per name may
memorialize a deceased family member or
friend. The names of the deceased whom
you wish memorialized will appear in the
insert of the Easter Sunday bulletin. Please make sure that
you print clearly the names of the persons to be
remembered.
Envelopes must be turned in by Sunday, March 29.
Palms Wanted

you will be trimming palms from
your garden, we welcome
donations of clean green palms.
Please place them in plastic bags
and leave them at the door of the
church after March 25th.
