LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT
Hey everyone ! Some of you might know me from my office last year , or if you went to the convention this year , but I ’ m Chloe Schoenly , your 2022 VJCL President . To be honest , the reason why I decided to become President had not that many other motives , besides the fact that I really just wanted to enjoy another year of VJCL . Did I sign up for this position just to have fun ? Possibly , but I like to think that it ’ s a more beneficial motive than one that isn ’ t . One phrase I live by is “ Memento Mori ”, which I will be using during my presidency . I ’ ll be sure to go all out and execute my term well like the phrase is used !
Besides my introduction , since I ’ ve been inducted into office , I ’ ve been focused on getting on friendly terms with my board and continuing projects and ideas that I had thought of last year , or just new ideas that my board and I had thought up of together . One of those is a Tik Tok account . While I ’ m not exactly familiar with Tik Tok , I think it would be rather fun for VJCLers to experience some fun ideas and short videos that our board comes up with . On top of that , I ’ m more excited with what my officers are producing for VJCL . You all should be so ready for the scrapbook and upcoming Fora ! I ’ ve heard wonderful ideas from what Allison and Nick have been talking about .
Also , did you all know we ’ re having our first in-person board meeting in a hot while ? I personally think you all should definitely attend . Not only will you guys be able to see the school I attend , which is Lightridge High School , but you ’ ll be able to see all the officers in person and all of our plans and ideas in person ! I ’ ll also try my best to wear a flashy outfit like I did at Convention , but you ’ ll have to either be there , or take a look at the Scrapbook and Fora to be able to see it .
Anyways , thank you all so much for my time so far in my office ! It ’ s been such a pleasure to be working with VJCL like this so far , and I ’ m excited for what ’ s to come .
