Editor ' s Note
Salvete amici !
My name is Monet Shum , and I am thrilled and incredibly grateful to be working with you all as your 2020-2021 VJCL Editor ! Ever since I first went to my first Convention last year , I ' ve been repeatedly stunned and inspired by all you JCL ' ers and your creativity and drive , so I am especially excited to be here , writing this note with so much potential on the horizon .
Though I wish that we could have activities inperson , I do know that some things do not change--I will still beware the Ides of March , we all will still scream our lungs out at spirit , and perhaps cough during tests at Convention for one reason or another . Likewise , I know that the passion of the JCL will not change and will thrive beyond this , which is one of the many things I love about this community .
Through my Fora , I hope to inspire the same love and community both in myself and in you all as well as offer a respite from regular work ( take a break ! It ' s the third quarter , you need it !). So I hope you enjoy reading this edition of the VJCL Forum !
