SPRING OFFICER REPORTS

Thank you all for coming to the Spring Executive Board Meeting ! Since the last meeting , I have assisted my officers with various projects and little fun things . We have met as a group and individually over the course of a month and a half in order to discuss our upcoming projects and fulfill our duties . For instance , I was able to create a comic for Nick ’ s Winter Forum and write up my presidential letter . I was also able to help Clarissa with a t-shirt design that included the beloved VJCL Echidna . For the projects , I am currently in the process of helping Lauren write questions for the NLE Prep Squad event happening on March 12th , so be sure to attend ! I have also opened up applications to the Certamen Committee , where I have changed the objectives and goals of that committee for an easier approach to accomplishing certain projects , in order to have a certain goal for that committee to work towards in a timely manner . I also currently have a plan for a one-day spring event that follows Classics Week that does not follow how Classics Day was last year . Besides that , I helped Abby with constitutional updates to the manual and the constitution itself . For the coming months , I plan to push our board more out into the world of JCL and VJCL itself . So far , my time with this board has brought many smiles to my face . I have made good friends on this board so far , even though we instantly clicked right after the convention , and I intend to make many more great memories with them . Thank you , all !

Salvete Omnes ! It ’ s great to be in person with you all today . Since our last meeting , I ’ ve been working hard to get my proposals from our last meeting in motion in addition to my prescribed duties as 1st Vice-President . I ’ ve been communicating with the co-chairs about the logistics of the Prep Event , giving question assignments to officers and organizing people to review our questions . I ’ ve also created a guide for our new TikTok platform , outlining the purpose of the account , submission procedures , and what kinds of videos students can submit . I ’ ll describe both projects in better detail later today . I ’ ve also drafted posts for our Instagram and emails for our Google Groups to spread the word about these projects . I selected members for and held the first meeting of the membership committee . The meeting was a success and yielded a lot of great ideas that I ’ m excited to share with you all . Finally , I submitted a request for a Governor ’ s Proclamation for Virginia Classics week from April 17th to 23rd .
