Cura ut valeas,

Take care that you are well,

Your Editor, Natalie Naylor

Salvete, Forum readers!

I'm so glad that you're spending time to read

this edition, which is packed full of articles from some of the VJCL 2019-2020 officers and delegates, announcements of VJCL contest winners, and so much more!

I hope you'll take the time to read this issue thoroughly, taking advantage of all of the different elements enclosed in this publication. Since the publication of the 2020 Winter Forum, I have been hard at work compiling and formatting this next installment for you all to read. Given the variation in these two issues, such as the seasonal colors and design aspects used in this edition, my goal is that you enjoy (digitally) flipping through these pages just as much as I enjoyed creating them!

Since my term began, I have been striving to bring a variety of helpful and informative articles to you all, as members of the VJCL, while still maintaining the humor and lightheartedness that so many admire about the Forum. I believe that combining more serious aspects, like updates from your 2019-2020 VJCL officers on the work they have been doing, with sillier elements throughout this publication creates a good balance of pages for everyone to enjoy. Hopefully, you will be able to find this sense of fun in some of the things enclosed later in this issue, such as the Classical Mad Libs, which are ready to be filled out by readers such as yourself!

As you are reading through this issue of the Forum, I hope that you are well and staying safe in these trying times. Though things around us may be hectic, the community created by the JCL is a great place to turn. Spreading the friendly spirit of JCL through checking in on friends and family is so important, especially now. Hopefully, this issue brings you some joy and laughter, as well as providing you with important information about the status of some of the work being done by Officers, the election process as a whole, and so much more. I sincerely hope that you enjoy reading this 2020 Spring Edition of the Forum!
