Salvete Amici ! Since the spring board meeting , my board and I have successfully prepared for National Convention and took home many wins and recognitions . Also at Nationals , my friend and former VJCL editor , Monet Shum , became the NJCL Editor for this year . Since she is not with us today , could we have a quick round of applause to be recorded in the minutes ? Alright , moreover , I worked alongside the membership committee and merged the Certamen Committee ideas with them . I look forward to creating more opportunities for schools to have more opportunities for students to participate in Certamina throughout the state with this project ! For the upcoming VJCL Convention , I am excited to say that we have started to plan for the contests that our board will be judging . Thank you all for this year , and I ’ m excited to see you all at VJCL State Convention this year !

REPORTS
Salvete Omnes ! About a week after our spring meeting , we held the NLE prep squad event for a turnout of about 30 people . We were also successful in obtaining the Governor ’ s proclamation for state classics week in April . In July , I attended national convention alongside my fellow officers and mainly contributed to our fellowship meetings . Coming up , I ’ ll be facilitating the publicity contest in October and November , as well as trying to get more energy into the Certamen video . It had been stalling over summer break , but with Kickoff Certamen coming up , I think we ’ ll be able to get more clips .
