Yellow Teeth Coffee, tea, and energy drink staining compounds this. Professional whitening is generally appropriate from age 16 +. DIY kits are not professional grade and they don’ t always work. Always consult a dentist first.
Bad Breath Most commonly caused by poor hygiene, a dry mouth, diet, or tonsil stones( calcified deposits in the tonsil crypts that produce an unpleasant odour). Tongue cleaning( often missed entirely by teenagers) removes bacteria from the tongue ' s surface and makes a significant difference. Persistent bad breath despite good hygiene may indicate a medical cause: reflux, sinus issues, or tonsil problems worth investigating.
Sensitivity Often caused by aggressive brushing wearing the gumline back, acid erosion from diet drinks, decay or overuse of whitening products. Desensitising toothpaste used consistently over several weeks helps, as does switching to a soft-bristled brush and gentler technique. If sensitivity is significant or worsening, see your dentist— it may indicate something that needs assessment beyond toothpaste.
