VS: What got you into working with LimeLight? Was this part of your career plan or did it just kind of pop up?

VS: Is LimeLight your sole career focus now? Or are you working on other projects?

CRD: LimeLight was definitely not part of my career plan. I first viewed it as a way to make some easy cash. I was very drawn to the "work from wherever, whenever" lifestyle. However, once I realized the potential future I could make for myself, I decided that failure was not an option. I've always had a decent social media presence, I had a love for the beauty industry, so LimeLight seemed to be a perfect fit.

While I consider LimeLight to be my main focus, it has acted as a spring board for other projects. I have just signed a contract with a top rated photographer as her makeup artist, and will begin traveling around the world with her and her team as the lead makeup artist. I will always continue to do wedding and pageant makeup, and one on one makeup lessons/consultations.

VS: What is your favorite thing about your job?

VS: What would you say was your key to success?

It's hard to pick just one thing about my job that I love the most, so here is a few. My absolute favorite thing about my job is the security it has been able to provide for me and my family. Living in Los Angeles is expensive, and LimeLight has provided me with a continuously increasing income. I also love the fact that I am in a position to inspire and empower women on a daily basis, whether that be through making them feel beautiful and confident about themselves, or providing them with a means of income and self worth. Plus the discount on professional cosmetics isn't bad either ;)

My key to success was definitely not giving myself the option to fail. I feel like in today's society, we are taught that if something doesn't work out for us, there will always be something else. While that may be true, we aren't going to be able to learn and grow to our potential if we are constantly moving from one job to the next. So when I began with LimeLight, failure was not an option. Mindset plays a huge part in success. If you set your mind and your heart to something, you most certainly can achieve it.

VS: Are there any particular hardships you've had to overcome or misconceptions you’ve had to debunk about what you do?

The hardest part about being with LimeLight is the misconception people have about Direct Sales or "pyramid schemes." I can't tell you how many times I have been asked when I was going to get a "real job." Instead of being embarrassed, I decided to educate those I felt judged by on exactly what I do. After all, isn't Corporate America just one giant pyramid scheme?

VS: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Part of my decision to join LimeLight is directly related to my 5 year plan. I am 26 years old, and within the next 5 years I would love to have started a family. LimeLight is a career that I can literally do at any time, from anywhere. I would love to be able to stay at home with my children, while still making a 6 figure income. I have definitely adopted the "hustle now so you can play later" mindset.
