Located at 4800 Waverly Park Road in southwestern Louisville, Waverly Park is an expansive
and secluded natural wonder. A natural lake is
the centerpiece of Waverly Park but it is also
home to several large mountain biking trails for
the more adventurous lovers of the outdoors.
Waverly is a wonderful natural resource for those
living in Southern Louisville.
In eastern Louisville near Jeffersontown is
Charlie Vettiner Park. Golf and disc golf lovers will both find challenging courses here.
The golf course was ranked as the seventh
most challenging in Kentucky with 50 white
sand bunkers, tree-lined fairways and multiple
ponds to consider. Sports lovers will also find
tennis, volleyball and basketball courts available throughout the day. There’s also a fenced
dog run on the park’s south side. This option
for east-enders can be found at 5550 Charlie
