‘ The Lounge @ TTR ’
A Special Invitation to Join Us for a Cuppa and a Chat !
Are you fed up with your own company ? Would you like to catch up with existing friends , and maybe even make new ones ? Are there things you ’ d like to say but have noone to say them to ? Do you just miss human company ? If the answer to any of these questions is yes , then we may be able to help !
In chapter 2 of the book of Acts , we are told that the believers met daily in the Temple courts , and in each other ’ s homes , which was a great source of encouragement to them . As a result of the pandemic and being spread around the country we realised that meeting in-person was neither possible nor practical . In response to this , early this year we launched a new initiative ‘ The Lounge @ TTR ’ in which you are invited to come and join us for an hour ( via a Zoom link ), for a cuppa and a chat . Whilst we can ’ t physically meet in each other ’ s homes , we can offer you the opportunity to join us via Zoom to help to meet the need and desire for company for all .
Hosted by a mix of TTR staff , our wonderful volunteers and attendees , we gather every 4-6 weeks . Usually we start with introductions , then have a general chat and catch up with one another , followed by a closing devotional / word of encouragement for the day ( by arrangement !) from one of the attendees . We are delighted each time to welcome our regular friends , as well as meeting others for the first time . We are also especially pleased to see that the ‘ playing field ’ is levelled
