Visiting the Lovers’ Mausoleum, San Pedro Church and San Pedro Tower (18:00- 19:30) In the afternoon, there was a visit to San Pedro Tower and the Lovers’ Mausoleum to learn about one of the town’s favourite traditions. First we visited Teruel’s San Pedro church, of the XIV century and Aragon Mudejar style, declared a World Heritage site. Its bell-tower, San Pedro tower is the oldest example of Teruel Mudejar style and dates from the XIII century. The interior was decorated between 1896 and 1902 in neoMudejar Modernist style by Pablo Monguió and Salvador Gisbert, who also built a new cloister.
