Day 1: Captivating Culture
MORNING
Start your day with a coffee from Alaska Native-owned Sitka Flowers & The Chocolate Moose.
Visit local shops and look for Alaska Native art using the silver hand sticker program.
See a Naa Kahidi Dancers show and hit up the gift shop for authentic Alaska Native gifts.
AFTERNOON
Stop at Ashmo ' s food truck for lunch and try their black cod tops on coconut rice or some rockfish tacos.
Take a walk through Sitka National Historical Park and learn about local Native history and culture with an audio totem pole tour.
Attend the Sitka Music Festival at a local concert hall.
DINNER
Indulge in mouthwatering dishes from Ludvig’ s Bistro, like the umami black truffle risotto with locally-foraged fiddleheads and mushrooms. Ludvig’ s is locallyowned by renowned Tlingít chef Edith Johnson, who loves to add Indigenous ingredients as a nod to her heritage.
