In recent years , the Buaks found themselves faced with a familiar opportunity : the chance to own another restaurant in Sitka . This time , it came in the form of an upscale Italian restaurant , Mangiare Italian Restaurant , located in the Sitka Hotel , just a few blocks from the pub . While the atmosphere at Mangiare is different from the 10 big screen TVs and game room found at the Pub , patrons will find the flavors , ambiance , and drinks are as memorable . Here , the expertly plated dishes sit atop long wooden tables while glowing lights add just the right amount of warmth to the rustic furnishings .
Simply put , Mangiare ’ s menu is where pasta and seafood lovers come to indulge . Appetizer offerings like garlic white wine mussels , fried calamari , shrimp scampi , and
bacon-topped mac and cheese make it hard to believe the entree menu could get any better . But it does .
