The Waterfront Partnership’s
Clean and Green Teams work to
plant green spaces and remove
trash in the Inner Harbor. In
2018 alone, the teams spent 487
hours power washing, removed
33,011 pounds of trash, emptied
13,229 garbage cans, planted
7,013 fl owers and spread 655
yards of mulch.

Education
For nearly four decades, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation has been
educating local schoolchildren about the Inner Harbor aboard the
workboat Snow Goose, where students can investigate the relationship
between the Port of Baltimore and the Chesapeake Bay’s Patapsco
River and learn about environmental issues and ecosystem fragility.
