PROVIDING A PLATFORM FOR LOCALS
Baltimore’ s story is best told by the people who shape it— the artists, creatives and tastemakers who encapsulate our bold spirit. At Visit Baltimore, we make it our mission to showcase that in as much of our work as possible. From calling on local talent for our campaigns, to sourcing their Baltimore-made products for our amenities and even taking them on the road to share their craft with the world. Our community is at the heart of how we tell Baltimore’ s story, bringing the city’ s creativity to every audience we meet. We are pleased to share a few examples of how Visit Baltimore has worked with locals throughout the past year.
Local influencer Tim“ Chyno” Chin and Jasmine Norton of Urban Oyster joined us at the ASAE Annual Meeting to teach attendees how to pick crabs and shuck fresh oysters in our booth.
DJ Thiery Banks spun live from the rooftop of Smalltimore to announce booking the conference in Baltimore for 2033.
Arvay Adams embroidered custom logos onto jackets for our events.
Crimson and Clover brought back dried floral boutonnieres for the second year at Preakness. They also decorated Smalltimore with florals for a photo op in the infield.
