MISSION

At Visit Baltimore , our mission is to positively impact the quality of life of the people who live and work in the city . We do this by attracting visitor spending that creates jobs , supports local businesses and attractions and generates needed revenue for the city and state . We focus our marketing and sales efforts on telling the story of our vibrant and diverse destination to prospective visitors , proactively securing meetings and conventions for Baltimore , and emphasizing our city ’ s authentic flavor and community . We are a 501 ( c )( 6 ) non-profit , funded primarily by visitor-paid hotel taxes .
