CREATIVE MEETUPS : RE-MIX & MINGLE
To build connections between the Baltimore creative community and local organizations , Visit Baltimore hosted two “ creative meetups ” in the winter and summer . Staff , partners and board members mixed and mingled with local creatives and influencers over cocktails and canapés . These events facilitate connections that may not have otherwise been possible and lead to new opportunities to further promote and create ambassadors for Baltimore .
In December we invited guests to our office to toast to the holidays , our vibrant arts and culture scene and the exciting growth of travel to Baltimore . Attendees crafted their own cocktails with mixers from Cane Collective , dined on hors d ’ oeuvres from Groundwork Kitchen and were serenaded by a surprise performance from local artist , John Tyler .
The summer event at the Visitor Center kicked off the festival season and helped build excitement for the events happening in Baltimore . Titled “ Re-Mix and Mingle ,” we remixed a traditional networking event by building trivia into the programming . Hosted by Chris Riehl , president of Baltimore Rent-a-Tour , teams were randomly assigned to encourage intermingling while enjoying light fare from Bar 51 . Guests not only learned about the season ’ s events but also made new connections and gathered new stories to share about our city .
