The responsibility is constantly thinking about others, and thinking about how you make an impact, a positive impact, on society. We have to prepare society for the changes that are coming, and they’re coming. You can stick your head in the sand and say „no, it’s dark”. No, it’s not, and we have to prepare society for those changes. We have to talk to people, we have to spend a lot of time on communication, as well as proposing solutions. We have to propose protocols, and we have to propo- se easy tools in order to do them. So, that’s why we do that. David is talking about it, writing about it. About the future of taxation, the future of money, and at the same time acknowled- ging that we’re living in a complex world. It’s not black and white. There’s only grey, and this grey has to be considered with a lot of precaution, edu- cation, and time, to comply and adapt to change because it’s never about technology. I’m even saying that as someone from a technology company. It’s never about technology. It’s always about people. That’s why the people are at the centre of everything that we’re doing, in every discussion that we have with decision makers, and with this grassroots move- ment. It’s always people in the middle, and it’s always about providing solutions for pe- ople. We say the same to governments and decision makers: we have to transform the way we govern, and how we adapt in this new era, in 2030 or 2050. As a government, as a service. Some countries are at the forefront, and some are further behind, so we have to continue educating and discussing, and not give up even if the discussions are dif- ficult. We have to stay positive. To continue striving to create make an impact, and leave a better world for our children than the one we had. We talked about my grandfather, and the generations that went through wars. We never went through that, at least in France, and we’re lucky in that sense. But, there are other places in the world that do, pla- ces of poverty, poor healthcare, education ... It’s a big world, and there are many pe- ople to take care of. So, we are trying to do our best at Pillar to create innovations that will radically change society in a positive way. VoB: I’m really impressed. At the Uncon- ference, each moment is like opening a Christmas present, and the impatience of waiting. Tomer: Not only that. This is something very important, very dear to our hearts. The next 15-20 years are going to be radically different than the last, and it’s our job at the bleeding edge of technology, to innovate. It’s our responsibility. We talked about it earlier. It’s being capa- ble of changing things, and it’s a huge gift, but at the same time a huge responsibility.
