Monday 8th January -15% on the Market
The same day, we learned that the South Korean authorities wo-
uld ban the exchanges.
(South Korea represented at that time between 15 to 20% of the
market).
Later in the day, CoinMarketCap posted on Twitter the exclusion
of data from some Korean trades.
According to Mr. Chez, site creator, many users complained about
inaccurate quotes, but he did not realize the impact this step wo-
uld have.
Nevertheless, according to Alexa Internet (Amazon’s service), Co-
inMarketCap has since moved from 142nd to 117th place in the
ranking of the most visited sites in the world, surpassing even the
Chinese online retailer Alibaba and most of the american news
medias. This is a good result for a company that does not have
an office and that uses mainly Twitter and Facebook accounts to
communicate with the outside world.
The website does not contain employee information, nor any con-
tact information, with the exception of an email address.

The subpoena for TETHER was issued on 6th December 2017, but
the news was released on 30th January.
Why wait 55 days to post this subpoena with all the bad news on
the same day? It smells of insider trading...
