The Kempsey-Macleay RSL Bowling and Sporting Club offers members and their guests a great variety of entertainment and activities, with something to suit everyone.

With recently refurbished flooring, lighting, bar and bathrooms, the‘ Bowlo’, as its affectionately known, is a great venue to hold a special event, party or function.

Whether it’ s a game of lawn bowls, bite to eat or catch up with friends, there’ s plenty to enjoy at the Bowling and Sports Club. We look forward to seeing you at the Bowlo soon.

Just settling in at the Bowlo since his appointment as greenkeeper last July, 35 year old Craig Hayfield is relishing his new challenge. Craig commenced his career as a greenkeeper at Harbord Bowling Club in 1999 and continued there until moving to Port Macquarie.

Craig’ s love of the outdoors and the opportunity to work with nature were driving forces in seeking a career as a greenkeeper. Ambitions for Craig are to build a reputation as a good greenkeeper, improve the amenities at the Bowlo and improve his own knowledge. His main hope is to see our members enjoying his efforts on the greens.

While his hobbies are surfing and fishing, on rare occasion you may find him having a sneaky game of social bowls. Craig moved to Port with his wife Alice in early 2016 and since then have been blessed with the birth of their first child Willow in late 2016.

Keep up the great work Craig and welcome to the Bowlo.
