Visibility of eTwinning Projects Group July 2025 Newsletter
Brief description of the project The CIRCUS project has been implemented for students and adults within our institutions. Throughout the project, we used the circus as a theme and motivation to help participants discover their best abilities and apply them in their relationships with others. There are good qualities and strengths in every person, but sometimes it is difficult to recognize what is good within ourselves.
The project also brought benefits to the local community. We encouraged active citizenship by pushing participants out of their comfort zones and challenging them to actively participate in CIRCUS productions. We demonstrated that school can be open-minded and creative.
The innovative aspect of the CIRCUS project First and foremost, we consider the innovative aspect of the CIRCUS project to be the fact that the same objectives can be set for both students and adults: discovering character strengths and the ability to " step out of the comfort zone " are meaningful and universal goals. Children and adults are regarded as equals in this aspect within the project.
The second innovative part of the CIRCUS project, the true core of the initiative, has been hidden within the letters of the project ' s name: * C = Cooperation – all together; * I = Myself – I must find the good in me; I must learn to like myself; * R = Resilience – we all need to learn more about it;
* C( Common sense) = Common sense – how to find it and use it; flexibility and discomfort zones included; * U = Unity in Europe; * S( Strengths) = Strengths – what they are and how to recognize them.
Target group The students who participated in the activities carried out within the project are from the age group 10-12 years but all students in our institutions are beneficiaries.
The project coordinator is Finland but, following the preparatory meeting in Castelfidardo, Italy in February 2023, it was decided that the project will be a team effort.
