in thought-provoking discussions on dual citizenship and freedom of speech. Guided by clearly defined roles, the team tackled timely motions such as whether multiple citizenships should be allowed without restriction and whether governments have the right to limit freedom of speech on social media. Using the World Schools debate format, students developed wellresearched arguments, sharpened their critical thinking, and practiced respectful discourse. The“ Citizenship Debate’’ experience not only deepened participants’ understanding of democratic principles but also showcased how debate can empower young people to engage meaningfully with real-world civic issues.
Driven by the belief that small gestures can create meaningful change, Team 5 launched the“ Acts of Kindness’’ initiative to promote empathy, solidarity, and civic responsibility within their school and community. Their efforts included everyday acts such as cleaning classrooms, assisting teachers, and sharing motivational notes with peers. They extended their kindness beyond the school environment by cleaning the schoolyard, feeding stray animals, and offering food to those in need, simple yet impactful actions that embodied the spirit of active citizenship. The project not only uplifted their surroundings but also transformed their own perspectives, proving that kindness is not just an act, but a habit that inspires growth, connection, and lasting change.
