The students designed patterns, stitched, stuffed them with batting, added hair and facial features, and dressed them in handmade clothes.
During EU Code Week, students engaged in various coding activities: colour coding, binary name encoding, and logic and programming games. They explored digital tools like Canva, Padlet, and JigsawPlanet, and created multimedia presentations about traditional toys and games. During the winter holidays, they exchanged greeting cards and postcards both by mail and email, and in January, they created a calendar using photos taken throughout the project.
May was dedicated entirely to Europe Day and eTwinning Day. Students sang the European anthem, took part in outdoor games, artistic activities, and team sports. All these moments were showcased in a collaborative Canva presentation. They also worked in mixed teams to create a digital book titled Legends and Traditional Stories in StoryJumper, acting as both storytellers and illustrators for the tales created by partner schools.
Using the Chatter Pix app, they animated internet safety rules. In March, they decorated letters with various materials and created a collaborative poster for International Women’ s Day. They also created portraits of famous women using Mosaically and composed acrostic poems with help from AI.
STEAM activities and the robot theme were among the students’ favourites. They researched, designed, and built robots using different techniques and materials – from simple models to programmable robots.
June brought International Children’ s Day, full of games, fun, and themed activities – but it also marked the project’ s conclusion. The children’ s drawings and messages for their international friends were heartwarming, and the final online meeting and Kahoot quiz demonstrated that“ friendship knows no borders.”
