Visibility of eTwinning Projects Group July 2025 Newsletter
Can you share some tips and strategies used to implement the project steps? Considering the age of my children( last year Kindergarten), I can say that the group is used to interacting with children from other countries, because they already participated in an eTwinning project last year, learning about different places and cultures, at least virtually, supported by storytelling, learning about places, customs and traditions.
The cornerstones on which the project was based were: brainstorming for listening to everyone; problem solving, for finding solutions to the problems we faced; shared planning, explained to the children; trial-and-error approach; peerto-peer and Cooperative Learning for the various project steps; Tinkering activities to make artefacts such as spacecrafts; Circle Time for in-progress and final evaluation.
The learning environments played a fundamental role both as places of‘ knowledge’ and as places to explore, get to know and interact also in outdoor context, by applying working methods learnt in Erasmus Mobility in Northern European countries.
The project topic was implemented from January to June and was the subject of the final celebration with the awarding of“ Diplomas” depicting the section and teachers as astronauts.
The message to be launched into space, chosen by the children, was the word PEACE.
What was the impact of the project? The project gave a great contribute to enhance cross- curricular educational objectives, such as collaboration and learning with schools and children from different European countries, so activating pro-sociality and the sense of European citizenship.
The impact of the project was important and massive for the development of children ' s knowledge. They worked daily on the content required by the different steps( naturally adapted to their age group) without any difficulty and with great enthusiasm, with the collaboration of the teachers’ team. Now the pupils know all the planets in the solar system and the countries of the project friends.
The daily display of their work directly involved parents in the process, stimulating their curiosity and participation. The theme of the section ' s graduation party was indeed SPACE, with dedicated scenography and music.
