Stimulating Students ’ Creativity and Innovation through eTwinning by Daniela Grecu
In the 2022-2023 school year , I implemented three projects on the eTwinning platform with the students of the 6th grade from the " Sf . Dumitru " Secondary School in Craiova , projects that offered them a valuable and memorable learning experience and demonstrated the power of collaborative education .
STEAM Coding Lab Thus , I had the privilege of being the founder of a project entitled " STEAM Coding Lab ", an innovative and exciting project with an emphasis on the development of digital and STEM skills . The main aim of this project was to promote technological and scientific skills and knowledge , giving students the opportunity to engage in interactive educational activities and explore the fascinating world of technology .
One of the key aspects of our project was the creation of the posters and the project logo . We encouraged the students ' creativity and imagination , giving them the opportunity to express their vision on the topics addressed in the project . The results were remarkable , and the project ' s poster and logo became symbols of their effort and dedication to developing digital skills .
We also marked the International Day of Women and Girls in Science by creating a special collaborative album . We invited students to document and discover the significant contributions of women in science and present them in an engaging way . The result was an impressive collaborative album that is available online , providing an opportunity for learning and inspiration for other students around the world . The album can be accessed at : https :// www . ourboox . com / books / inspirational -women-in-science /.
Another particularly successful aspect of our project was the online meetings held during school hours . I had the privilege of participating in two such meetings with our partners from Italy ( IC Laureana Galatro Feroleto-Laureana di Borrello ) and the Republic of Moldova ( Liceul Teoretic Gaudeamus ). These meetings were a great opportunity for our students to share their knowledge , ideas and experiences and learn from each other . We discovered differences and similarities between education systems and developed strong connections between students and teachers , opening up opportunities for future collaboration and learning .
Another particularly popular activity was coding , both offline and online . We encouraged students to explore the world of programming and develop their coding skills . Among the challenges they tackled was coding in Python as part of the Astro Pi - Mission Zero event .
