UNICEF organizes an activity : You can make a fabric doll and donate it to this organization . Then people can " adopt " ( buy ) these dolls and help underprivileged children worldwide with the donated money . Those who " adopt " the doll also write a card to the person who made the doll .
We adopted two of these dolls and sent them on a tour across Europe . They explored all the partner countries , visited cities , towns and schools . There were 9 partner schools from different European countries : Slovenia ( the homeland of our dolls ), Denmark , Slovakia , Greece , Italy , Poland , Romania , Croatia and the Czech Republic .
The dolls started their journey in Cerkno in Slovenia and stayed in each country for two weeks . During this time , the students had the opportunity to take photos , record videos , and most importantly , write diary entries from the perspective of the dolls . The dolls were really curious and looked for answers for these questions about particular countries : What is typical ? What adventures will they experience ? What will they eat ? What will they learn ? Who will they meet ?... From each place , they sent
postcards to their " mothers " ( the persons who made them ). After two weeks , the dolls continued their journey ( by post ), along with a note containing a ( feasible ) wish that will come true in the next location / school . Meanwhile , the students worked together in international teams . They researched what kind of organization UNICEF is , what actions it organizes in different countries ; they described the dolls , created cards for the dolls ' " mothers ," and compiled a multilingual glossary with terms related to the topic ... Our end product is an interesting TwinSpace as well as an eBook / photo book documenting the dolls ' journey across Europe .

The first dolls we created were dressed in traditional costumes representing all the countries involved in the project . A girl from Ukraine also participated in the meeting , so one doll wore the Ukrainian costume . The dolls dressed in traditional
