Deepening Empathy Through Transnational Collaboration Empathy and gratitude were woven into every stage of the project’ s collaborative workflow:
" Gratitude Gardens " and Botanical Cards: Pupils in each country researched plant biology and co-created digital botanical cards in Canva, dedicating them
with personal messages of appreciation to family members, peers, teacher and international friends. Transnational Storytelling in StoryJumper: In“ The Garden of THANK YOU!”, classes wrote a chain story on the power of appreciation. Demonstrating deep cross-border empathy, pupils recorded vocal narrations for story pages written by partner classes in other countries.
" Pass It On " Video Exchange: Students across Romania, Italy, and Spain shared video messages expressing appreciation, discovering that the language of gratitude is universal. Multilingual Retelling of“ Thank You, Omu!”: Italian students illustrated the story while Romanian and Spanish pupils provided the vocal narrations, showcasing seamless three-way collaboration.
What Made This Project Innovative? The project’ s true innovation lay in its experiential home-school integration, which transformed families from passive spectators into active learning partners. By cooking traditional recipes proposed by partner countries in their own kitchens, abstract cultural awareness became a tangible, sensory experience that also turned culinary tasks into practical, real-
