Evaluation that guided the journey Evaluation was continuous rather than reserved for the end. At the beginning, teachers and pupils expressed their expectations through TwinSpace Forum discussions and pre-project surveys. At the end of every month, Forum topics invited participants to reflect on the completed activities, identify difficulties and offer suggestions.
Teacher and pupil post-surveys were later compared with the initial surveys. Video reflections and evaluations from parents, colleagues and school administrators added further perspectives. The comparison between expectations and final results helped us assess progress in career awareness, English communication, digital competence, collaboration and confidence.
A compass pointing beyond the project The greatest result of DriVETrain – Career Compass was not a single digital product. It was the change in how pupils perceived their own learning and future. They became more aware of their strengths, more curious about professional opportunities and more confident in communicating in English. They experienced international teamwork, accepted responsibility for shared tasks and saw that their ideas could contribute to something larger than their own classroom.
The project also changed my work as a teacher. Founding and coordinating an international project strengthened my competences in digital pedagogy, collaborative planning, project management, evaluation and dissemination. Involving a colleague in her first eTwinning experience also contributed to extending the eTwinning community within our institution.
The evaluation process also influenced the way the project developed. Feedback helped teachers adjust instructions, support pupils with different levels of English and digital experience and choose formats that encouraged wider participation.
