Adam Stępiński is an English and History teacher at Copernicus Upper-Secondar School in Tarnobrzeg, Poland, teacher trainer and educational project coordinator, with over 30 years of experience in education. He is an eTwinning Ambassador and an active contributor to international educational initiatives, including Erasmus + and ASEFClassNet. His professional interests include AI in education, digital literacy, innovative teaching, CLIL, international collaboration and outdoor learning. Adam regularly delivers workshops and training for teachers and students in Poland and internationally, working with organisations such as European Schoolnet, the British Council and Oxford University Press. In 2017, he was awarded the title of Best English Teacher in Poland, and his educational projects have received the European Language Label three times.
To my fellow teachers, I can say that the greatest success of such a project isn’ t just the final digital product, it is the reflection circle at the end, where a student says their understanding of freedom has evolved. It is the realization that they are not just passive recipients of history, but active co-creators of a more inclusive and respectful future.
Let’ s continue to give our students the opportunities to discover that history is present in their everyday surroundings and that their voices truly matter.
