Through a variety of hands-on activities, including observing, collecting, and describing plants, pupils expand their vocabulary related to nature while developing basic communicative competence in English.

The project also promotes international collaboration by connecting Italian and Greek partner schools and encouraging cultural exchange and the sharing of educational experiences. By integrating science, art, language learning, and digital pedagogy, this interdisciplinary initiative seeks to foster curiosity, creativity, and collaboration among young learners, making language learning an integral part of exploring the world around them.
Outdoor Education The project is grounded in the principles of Outdoor Education, which considers natural environments as authentic learning spaces where children construct knowledge through direct experience, exploration, and interaction with their surroundings( Waite, 2020; Beames, Higgins, & Nicol, 2012). Rather than functioning merely as a setting for recreational activities, the school garden and the surrounding urban green spaces become pedagogical environments that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. The project aims to:
• enrich learners ' English vocabulary related to plants, nature, and the environment;
• stimulate curiosity and careful observation of the natural world;
• foster collaboration among schools from different countries;
The project involves collaboration among student teachers and university faculty from Italian and Greek universities in the design, implementation, and dissemination of the following educational activities:
