Visibility of eTwinning Projects Group July 2026 Newsletter
Participation in eTwinning projects develops key European competencies, including digital, linguistic, intercultural, social, and civic skills. Involvement in these projects boosts student motivation and sustains engagement in the learning process, reinforcing the link between skill development and the student ' s active role in their own learning. The platform ' s transnational and collaborative nature creates opportunities for authentic, contextualized learning, including intercultural exchanges and the cocreation of knowledge. Interaction with peers from diverse cultural backgrounds strengthens critical thinking and contributes to the formation of a shared European identity rooted in cooperation and mutual understanding.
The eTwinning platform facilitates projectbased collaboration among schools, teachers, and students from various countries. Unlike the traditional classroom environment, where learning can be teacher-led and isolated, eTwinning projects engage participants in sustained, cooperative activities that mirror realworld tasks, allowing students to practice and develop integrated competencies rather than isolated skills. Through this type of engagement, collaboration becomes a structured educational practice grounded in shared goals and mutual responsibility, thereby creating ongoing opportunities for skill development.
The approval of an eTwinning project marks the beginning of an officially recognized international partnership that fosters high-quality, innovative, and collaborative learning experiences. The
value of international exchanges lies in the connections and networks established, which can lead to future opportunities, collaborations, and development at both individual and societal levels. I have been working with eTwinning as a partner for many years. Both students and teachers collaborate digitally with schools in other European countries. eTwinning is part of the European Union’ s Erasmus + program.
The " Unity in Diversity " project I founded reinforced my conviction that eTwinning is a pedagogical environment where educational innovation becomes analytically visible and conceptually coherent. When I began this journey, I had a single dream: to fill the target group ' s " invisible backpacks " with valuable skills for acquiring knowledge and personal development – skills that go beyond mere academic learning.
The project aimed to foster interest among preschoolers and students in various STEM fields and to enable them to solve— or find solutions to— school-related challenges using a multidisciplinary approach grounded in STEM skills. By implementing these eTwinning STEM projects, we can transform the classroom into a dynamic, collaborative, and futureoriented environment, thereby preparing students for the challenges of modern society.
Education for sustainable development is a priority for the European education system, and eTwinning projects provide an ideal framework for developing green and digital competencies through collaborative, interdisciplinary activities.
