innovation, and strengthen the European dimension of education. In this sense, being an ambassador is not a role linked to employment – it is a lifelong commitment.
Beyond retirement: guiding teachers, growing eTwinning, by Anna Rita Recchia As I mentioned in the introduction, retirement didn ' t mark the end of my commitment to eTwinning; on the contrary, it offered me the opportunity to continue contributing in various ways. For example, despite no longer being in service, I remained connected to the school where I worked, following both the Erasmus + and eTwinning programs, offering my support to colleagues whenever my experience could be useful.
But my role as an " active retiree " has also expanded beyond my school. Several teachers from other schools, already active in eTwinning, have continued to contact me for advice and support in implementing their projects, finding international partners, using the platform and managing the various phases of collaboration. I have always welcomed these requests, convinced that sharing experiences and engaging with colleagues are essential elements for the growth of the eTwinning community.
At the same time, I continued to promote eTwinning through training courses aimed at teachers from other schools who were unfamiliar with the opportunities offered by the eTwinning world. The goal was to introduce them to the platform and, through the presentation of projects I
have completed over time, help them discover its potential for international collaboration, professional development, and educational innovation. Sharing my experience with teachers taking their first steps in eTwinning is always rewarding, as it allows me to contribute to the growth of a community of teachers open to European cooperation.
In conclusion, although I no longer specifically teach, being part of the eTwinning Ambassadors network allows me to continue to be an active presence in the educational community. I can share the experience I have gained over the years, support existing colleagues, and encourage new teachers to seize the opportunities offered by European cooperation, in the belief that learning and sharing are ageless.
Culture of Collaboration, by Françoise Altamura Personally, after completing 54 projects since 2007, I believe I ' ve gained significant experience in launching and running eTwinning projects. In the beginning, eTwinning ambassadors didn ' t exist, nor was there much training. It was a matter of inventing everything, and many of my first projects were superficial and disorganized. However, this allowed me to improve the organization of subsequent projects year after year, working with more experienced European teachers than I.
